Honeydew Summer Tour '08 with Red Rooster and Banjo Jack
Heading out for a Nicaraguan tour. If I'm not back in a few months, send an iPod charger and a few boxes of mac n' cheese. And I'll probably need to borrow some money too.

Going Back to School: Andy was selected to play at this year's NACA Western Regional Conference in Spokane, WA. Held in November, this conference is a gathering of college bookers from the entire west coast who come to hear the hottest new bands and select the lineups on campus for the next few semesters.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Live Noise: We will be joining our friends The States (http://thestatesonline.com/) for a great gig on Saturday, August 18th to celebrate the release of their new album. They have the whole venue rented out for the evening and our set will start around 8:30. See the calendar for details.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Radio Waves: Andy will be returning to the studios at WERS in Boston for a live interview and performance on Friday, August 10th at 2:30. He is part of their 'Best of New England' celebration all week long.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Studio Sounds: A new album is in the works. The Troika (aka: Ziv, Dana, and Andy) will be pressing the record button in Brooklyn throughout the summer.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Radio Waves: Andy Laird to be 'Featured Artist of the Week' starting May 7th on WERS, Boston's leading independent radio station. On Tuesday, May 8th at 4pm, Andy and The Troika will appear live on air for an interview and instudio performance. To check it out, visit: http://www.wers.org/

The Greeting: Here we are. 2007. It's looking like a good vintage already. With several tracks from the EP, "Step Out Of Line" getting radio play across the country (including on Boston's WERS and our hometown station WFUV), we're keeping the flow going. 'Life By The Mile' was recently featured on MTV's hip new show "Twentyfourseven" and the Troika (Dana, Ziv, and I) are looking to get back into the studio soon.
2006 was a great year that deserves a quick recap: Covering the entire east coast and some of the midwest, The Wondermore Summer Tour was a blast and sharing the miles with Red Rooster and Charlotte Kendrick couldn't have been more fun. The tour bus was a little worse for the wear (I backed up into a telephone pole the first time I sat in the driver's seat), but we made it to where we needed to be and usually that occured before we were supposed to go on. There are some pictures in the photo section of the website and a play by play account of the trip in our daily tour blog at: http://roosteraction.blogspot.com/
Other recent highlights include a performance at Joe's Pub in NYC with the incredibly talented Ane Brun, a trip to Indiana for the Midwest Music Summit, and my apartment not exploding after a gas leak that lasted 10 days while I was on the road.
Our MySpace page is going strong, so if you're feeling the need for the cyber social scene (and to check out a few tracks from the EP) go to: http://myspace.com/andylaird
